The month of February sets our spring price. So far they are as high as we have seen since 2014! March 1st the price will be set, so stay tuned!

You have until March 15th to make changes to your Farm Bill election. Most experts lean to ARC County on corn and beans for 2021.
Price Loss Coverage (PLC) uses $3.70 national average cash price. Yield does not matter.
ARC County uses Revenue (yield x price) to determine payments. It still uses the same $3.70 starting price, but if yields fall ARC County could pay more. Most experts don't believe we could see sub $3.70 corn so they are saying ARC County is better.
If you think we could have a very high county yield, and very low price, choose PLC. Hopefully neither one pays and we have good yields and good prices. But with all insurance and disaster programs, they are there when you need them, not when you don't.
